More on Checking Account Disclosures

On Thursday, we blogged on the push toward more transparent and consumer-friendly disclosures for checking accounts.  

I wanted to focus in on one of the links we included - which shows a proposed "one-page" disclosure from a consumer group.

I've included a picture of the Pew Trust's idea of a account opening disclosure for checking accounts.

 While there is no proposed changes to Truth in Savings, these are the kinds of proposals that consumer groups are speaking to the CFPB about on a daily basis.  Stay tuned.
