I thought I was losing my mind...just getting around to writing my summary on the appraisal requirements for "higher RISK" loans - that's what the proposed rule called them...then I see the title of the final rule of "Appraisals for Higher PRICED Mortgage Loans"...not until page 8 was I able to calm down about the use of these different terms. I know we took issue when commenting with using the "higher risk" vs. "higher priced" but it would have been nice if the agencies pointed that out a little more on page 1...I know I will have to clarify the terms for our staff....
