On Friday, NCUA released its long awaited corporate credit union final regulation. The materials from that meeting are available here. NAFCU's communications team has a lot of information about the meeting here. In addition, NCUA has scheduled a virtual town hall meeting for this afternoon. Read about it, and sign up, here.
A good place to start would be to review this NCUA webpage. It is their "corporate resolution"page, and it contains information such as:
- A letter to credit unions that summarizes the rule.
- A frequently asked questions document.
- A side-by-side chart that compares the old corporate rule, the proposal, and the final rule released on Friday.
If you have time, I'd glance through the articles and NCUA materials, and then attend this afternoon's town hall meeting. NAFCU will continue to push out additional information to its members in the upcoming days, so be sure to sign up for the NAFCU Today if you have not already.
